Overview:
YYW-2 strain-controlled unconfined pressure gauge is the main conventional test instrument for geotechnical tests. The equipment meets SL 237-1999 “Geotechnical Test Regulations”, JTG E40-2007 “Highway Geotechnical Test Regulations”, TB10102-2010 “Railway Engineering Geotechnical Test Regulations”, and GB/T50123-2019
“Geotechnical Test Method Standard”.
2. Main uses:
YYW-2 strain-controlled electric lime soil unconfined pressure gauge is used to measure the axial pressure of soft clay with high saturation under the condition of no lateral restriction until the force value when the sample is damaged, and to obtain the unconfined compressive strength of the soil. At the same time, the unconfined compressive strength test is also used to determine the sensitivity of the soil. (Sensitivity is the ratio of the unconfined compressive strength of the original soil to the remolded soil with natural water content).

Determination of soil shear strength is essential for designing the foundation of structures, soil and soil retaining structures, soil slopes, etc. Shear strength of soil depends on various factors and in situ soil conditions.
